Yes Adam Devine, 31 year-old comedian not to be confused with Adam Levine the front man of the popular band Maroon 5. Devine is widely known for his role as Bumper in “Pitch Perfect” that he won a Teen Choice Award for “Choice Movie Villian.”

The film came out Sept. 28, 2012 and earned over $113 million worldwide, becoming the second highest grossing music comedy film. The film was so successful that a sequel is set to hit theaters May 15, 2015.

Additionally some know him as well from “Modern Family” where he played Andy for just six episodes, but people still loved his character of a very feminine babysitter.

However most attendees of this show knew him from his two shows on Comedy Central, “Workaholics” and “Adam Devine’s House Party”.

“I love Workaholics, he is truly a comedy genius,” said Krysta Cosenza, 20 from Brooklyn, N.Y. “If people only know him from Pitch Perfect that is really a shame because in a way you’re not really experiencing his full potential because he writes both of his shows on Comedy Central.”

A look Inside the Show

The small venue was filled with a crowd anywhere from the ages of 16 to 25, most had a Bud Light tall can or a 16 oz. Pabst Blue Ribbon in hand at either of the two small bars on both sides of the room.

Half the audience got up on their feet when the star made his way out onto the stage to the microphone. Of course Devine starts the night with a dick joke, “I even got dressed up for you guys in this fancy leather jacket and my ‘small dick’ pants.”

One would almost feel as if they were watching an episode of “Adam Devine’s House Party” when watching his set. No topic was off limits from weed, midgets, talking into your beer, biggot fathers, and tight buttholes (which in “Workaholics” language means ‘a really awesome thing’).

“I really hope “Workaholics” is the reason you all came here,” Devine joked. “I just did a show and they only knew from Pitch Perfect and were expecting me to sing and dance and do all that bullshit for them.”

He also went into detail about his audition process for “Pitch Perfect” and how he thought it was a movie about baseball…not singing. He laughed because he thought he nailed the audition until they asked him to sing to which he was very confused, and broke out into “Dance A$$” by Big Sean and landed the role by then singing the Full House theme song.

Devine also joked about fan encounters he’s had and said he still gets surprised when people recognize him because he’s really not that famous and most of the times things just get awkward for him.

“One time a kid just starred me down and made this strange groaning noise, screamed faggot and ran away. It’s safe to say I’ll never forget him,” Devine laughed. “Another man saw me stopped at a red light and just started screaming tight butthole at me, it was weird but I mean what else would you say?”

It’s very safe to assume if you aren’t actually a “Workaholics” fan this show wouldn’t have been for you. The show is on its fifth season currently on Comedy Central, along with “Adam Devine’s House Party” which had two seasons.

“Adam was even funnier in person then he is on tv,” said Mary Phillips, 20. “I don’t think there was a moment when there wasn’t people laughing, I would totally see him when he comes back on another tour.”

What’s next for Devine?

Other then the highly anticipated second “Pitch Perfect” film, Devine also as of now has two other films coming out in 2015 and one in 2016. “The Final Girls” will be his first horror comedy film where he will play Kurt. The film is about a young women who is mourning the loss of her mother who was a famous scream queen from the 1980s, she then finds herself pulled into the world of her mother’s most famous movie. Reunited with her deceased mom, they must fight off the film’s maniacal killer.

Also in 2016 Devine will star alongside Zac Efron in “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates”, about two brothers who purchase personal ads to find dates to be their guests at a wedding.
